Who is behind MABORA

Hello, I'm Michaël – founder of MABORA , a lover of the sea, a fan of strolling through markets and a big friend of beautiful things with a history.

I love to travel. To Mallorca, Menorca, to small hidden coves, or to other beautiful places around the world where you can smell the sea and feel the sand between your toes. I especially enjoy browsing local markets – places where you can find genuine handcrafted items, unique pieces, and lovingly made products. I initially bought many of these things just for myself because they reminded me of those special moments. Now I want to share that feeling with others.

This gave rise to an idea with MABORA : Not everyone can travel constantly or knows where to find such treasures – but you can still bring this "maritime feeling" home.
That's exactly what MABORA is.

I personally handcraft and assemble the picture frames . The images are my own photographs of beaches, coastlines, and islands. They are printed to a high standard so that every detail – from the wave to the grain of sand – is captured. The result is wall decor that is more than just a picture.
A little piece of vacation for your home .

These nautical bracelets come from a small family workshop where each bracelet is hand-knotted. Not mass-produced, but finely crafted pieces that you can wear every day – a subtle reminder of the sea, freedom, and sunshine.

With my home décor products, I combine both: I make some pieces myself or finish them by hand, while others I choose specifically because they have that light, maritime flair I know from my travels. Driftwood, boho elements, soft shades of blue and beige – everything should fit together and give you the feeling: A little bit of the coast is moving in.

With MABORA, I don't just want to sell you products, but to share a feeling: warm light, the sound of the sea in your head, salt in the air, and the freedom you can only feel by the water. – and all of this in your own home.
